Be a part of an off-road experience that has been around since 1983 attracting nearly 80,000 riders over time.

Registration Process

Registration for both the Chequamegon 40 and Short & Fat events are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Chequamegon 40 is limited to 2,100 riders, and the Short & Fat is limited to 1,000 riders.

Age Limit

Minimum Age Requirement
40 mile – 14 years old
16 mile – 12 years old

Refunds & Cancellations

It is absolutely our goal to host the 38th annual Chequamegon MTB Festival presented by Trek on it’s originally scheduled date of September 19th, 2020, but in the event that we are unable to safely hold the event, the following options will be offered to our 2020 riders:

  1. Defer your entry to the 2021 Chequamegon MTB Festival presented by Trek, at no additional cost through September 17, 2020
  2. Receive a 70% refund of your 2020 Chequamegon MTB Festival presented by Trek entry fee through September 17, 2020

Change Request

Race
Event distance, competition class (age class, single speed/fat bike) or start gate review requests are allowed if requested PRIOR TO SEPTEMBER 1. Please email pspencer@lt.life to complete.

Race Morning Busing
Update – July 1 – due to social distancing protocols – we will not offer busing in 2020.  If you already purchased a bus ticket, you will be refunded accordingly.  If you already registered for the Chequamegon 40 and would like a spot on the bus, please email our Cheq Registration Chief, Treva Worrel.

Honor System

The Chequamegon MTB Festival honor system has traditionally valued a Leave No Trace effort. Trail cleanup is an important race weekend element, and the Chequamegon MTB Festival expects that every attending the event treats our beloved trails with respect and clean ups after themselves.
